[Thoughts] Hello, World! & [Funny] Super Sentai

::waves:: Yeah, yeah, I'm still alive. It's summer, and the heat is absolutely unbearable, especially for me who has a "heat allergy" (yeah, it sounds weird, I know).

So what is everyone doing nowadays? Me? Well, I finished organizing iTunes--again--remind me why I persist in doing this when all my computer does is eat my library, and I've been doing about, oh, ten drabbles lying around unfinished. I don't know. It's been going around too long to call it Writer's Block...Maybe I need some fresh inspiration, something, to get me inspired.

Otherwise, did you know that I have a life that equals to living under a rock? :D Besides watching Korean and Japanese dramas, that is. Speaking of dramas, for the Kdrama fans out there, I highly recommend watching Gentlemen's Dignity, starring Jang Dong Gun, Kim Ha Neul, Kim Min Jong, etc. It is hilarious.

Anyways, for the Super Sentai part of this entry...I stumbled across this, by chance, and found it hilarious. If you don't follow the Super Sentai series (more commonly known as Power Rangers in the States), then this would probably fly over your head. Otherwise.... :)

Not all crossovers are equal....Collapse )

I've started watching the Kamen Rider series, too, in addition to keeping up with Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters. I'll have to say, I'm more comfortable with the Super Sentai lineup (probably because I've watched quite a bit of it), rather than the Kamen Rider series, but the Kamen Rider series is growing on me. I've finished Kamen Rider Blade through Den-O, and I'm watching Kiva and Decade simultaneously--wait, what's this? Crossover with Samura Sentai Shinkenger? More Tori!

[Fangirling] Arashi in the Mystery World!!!!

Ahem, another post so soon? Why yes, another one!

I JUST heard that Arashi's Riida and Aiba are going to be in two dramas, respectively, featuring some kind of solving mysteries/crimes! Jun right now is starring in "Lucky Seven," and Sho was in "Nazotoki wo Dinner no Ate de" as a crime-solving butler. Arashi must have an affinity with mysteries! Not that I'm complaining, since I'm looking forward to both dramas. ^.^

Aiba will star in "Mikeneko Holmes," as a son of a famous detective who's not really cut out for the job--he's scared of blood, girls, ghosts...yes, your typical bumbling but loveable hero. (Personally, I think that Aiba would be adorable, but that could be my fangirling persona coming to the fore.) He meets a cat named "Holmes" (after Sherlock Holmes, I'll presume) who understands humans and holds an incredibly logical intellect. They are going to team up and solve mysteries together.

I'm thinking that this is going to be a rather humorous drama--the premise the screams it--but I think that it's also going to be a drama in which Aiba's character, Katayama Yoshitaro (oh, I hope I got the name right), grows not only as a detective but also as a person. I'm really looking forward to see who the leading lady will be--personally, I really hope that it's Kanjiya Shihori, from Aiba's previous drama "Bartender," but I'm not really hoping. I loved them in "Bartender."

Riida, on the other hand, will play a calm-and-collected kind of guy in "Kagi no Kakatta Heya," a mystery drama centered around keys and locks. Know the saying that there's no lock that cannot be unlocked?" That's the basic premise of this drama. Behind the calm face is a passion burning to solving the mystery--my kind of guy.

(Did I mention that both of Aiba and Riida's upcoming dramas are both based on novels?)

I'll admit, I've watched EVERY drama that any Arashi member has starred in (call me obsessed, I know I am), but of Riida's dramas I liked the most was "Maou." "Uta no Onii-san" and "Kaibutsu-kun" were fun, but I felt that his acting was terrific in "Maou." Now, his role in "Kagi no Kakatta Heya" is not, of course, that of the vengeful "Angel Lawyer," but the serious role undoubtedly has me excited. (Ahem, I will admit this -- I was OBSESSED over "Maou," not just because of Riida. I also watched the original, "Mawang," starring Joo Ji Hoon, Uhm Tae Woong, and Shin Min Ah, and I also obsessed.)

Aiba and Riida, fighting~!!!!

[Thoughts] Rant

OK. Can I be annoyed? >.<

So, the Pure DVD was released...what, nearly two weeks ago?

I get this message from someone I've been talking to about the "Takumi-kun Series:"

Hi, silentstar01! It's been a while~ :-D
Just wondering when you'll send me translations of the Pure movie, since it's already been out for a week. I reeeeally want to see it, but no one wants to upload it. :-(
Hope you're having fun~ I'll be waiting~

(Note: this person is NOT on lj.)

Um...sorry to disappoint...but I haven't watched it yet? I haven't bought the DVD this time because of my perpetual state of bankruptsy?

So I e-mail her back saying that I haven't seen it yet, but I do plan to buy it when I have some money saved up. THIS is what I get back:

Oh.... :-/ I'm really disappointed. You're usually really reliable about this kind of thing, since I thought you were some kind of authority about it. I guess I'll have to see if someone else is willing to talk to me about Pure. Bye!

OK, I'm sure that she wasn't intentionally being mean or anything. But...what?

I'm sorry that I couldn't buy the DVD, much less watch it and prepare translations? Am I bound to some kind of duty to provide translations?

I'm sorry--I'm not usually this (passive agressively) confrontational. >________________>

But I just got annoyed by people's unreasonable demands. (This was unreasonable in my book.)

Otherwise, have a nice day!

[Drabble] Shiver

THE FIFTH ONE IS ALREADY FILMED (I think). ::spazzes even more::

Ahem. Here is "Shiver."

It's not often that Takumi...Collapse )

::happy dance::

Despite it's shortness, I'm pretty satisfied with it--it could be that it is completely junk, and I am in denial because it's my first.

[Drabble] Definition of Happiness & Thoughts

Lately, I've been in a contemplative mood. I know if it's because it's nearly summer--which is something I cannot stand, remind me why I am not in Alaska--but I also wonder if it's because I'm graduating this year and becoming a full member of society.

Anyways, to more cheerful topics? I am thoroughly enjoying 四つ葉神社ウラ稼業 失恋保険〜告らせ屋〜, with Shirota Yu and Fukuda Saki. Nevermind Shirota Yu, who I fangirl a lot. Fukuda Saki--I reeeeeeeally like her. I really liked her in Ghost Friends (with Nissy!), and in Quartet (with Yuya~ <3). She's really cute--I really enjoy watching her onscreen. And yes, this even includes LIFE.

Has anyone seen Kaze no Shounen, with Hiroki? :3 I just love this actor. He really has an interesting repetoire. From the evil (and complicated, so complicated) villain "J" in Bloody Monday, to the brash gangster-wannabe high school student Daichi in Yankee to Megane-chan (which I enjoyed immensely, so sad that this drama is over), to the warm-hearted Takumi in Ima Ai ni Yukimasu (and Nobu in Nana). I even remember him in Gokusen and in Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo 3, even though he had small roles then. Ahhhhhh....I'm such a fan.

Anyway~ I wrote a drabble~ I'll have you know--this is NOT the best of my writing. I'm not not happy about this one, but I feel this could be better. Ah, well, as long as it's finished? :) Please drop a comment about your thoughts on this one!

[Drabble] Thump Thump in the Night & [Thoughts]

Seriously, this really made my day. REALLY made my day. hibimaosuki , I love you. I LOVE YOU. I was dancing around the room when I read the news, and promptly went clicky-click to the official website to see the spoiler pic that you mentioned.

And OMG, the most perfect shot. Sigh.....and guess what I did? :3 Made it my desktop!

OK, done fangirling....for the MOMENT. Yes. I'm going to go on later and read the post again, and go onto another spazz fit.

Anyway, in celebration of finding out this nice bit of news, I whipped up a drabble! ^.^

Shouzo knew he should have knocked....Collapse )

XD I hope everyone enjoys it!

[Thoughts] Current Obsessions

Wow, it's been a long time since I've posted, a blog post or fic or whatever.

I am in the grips of a panic attack whenever thinking about the future, and in the process of recovering from a particularly nasty bout with the flu. >.< Stay healthy, everyone! Health is one of the most important aspects of our lives.

While on the subject of health, I reach out to the many victims in Japan. I am continuing to pray for all victims.

It continues to amaze me at the speed of drama news comes on the internet. Already I am hearing about a lot more dramas that I can count. When will I be able to become up-to-date with all the dramas that I want to watch....@.@

Dramas I'm currently watching...

King Geunchogo -- OK, let me vent. I am NOT happy with the main guy here. He's a jerk. But this is a historical drama, so the culture of the time it's portraying is not the same as our modern views. I get it. But that doesn't mean that I can't vent.

Smile, Donghae -- When will the angst and the secrets end....@.@ It's already over one hundred episodes and the grandparents STILL have not figured out what's going on...and the evilness of the evil people does not abate, but only skyrockets. Come ON, scriptwriters.

Thorn Birds -- Didn't make sense in the beginning, and the plot's already getting crazy. The show's only on episode 8. I will still watch, just because.

Crime Squad/Homicide -- This is one show that I am really enjoying. Song Il Gook is always someone I enjoy watching, especially after his performance in "The Man Called God." Song Ji Hyo's performance here is better than her other roles. I feel that this role suits her the best.

Yaksha -- Just finished the drama, and if you enjoy especally carthatic dramas, this is the one. I could've sworn that I had palpitations while watching this drama.

Quartet -- Matsushita Yuya...sigh...But anyway, I really like Fukuda Saki, so I'm watching this for her--LIES. ALL LIES. I'm watching it for Yuya. <3

Bartender -- OK. Fangirling. I just love Aiba in this drama. I've read the manga, too, but the manga doesn't even compare to Aiba here. <3 Kanjiya Shiori is also cute in here. I'm watching for Ryu/Miwa romance, but that's for the romantic in me. I'm also watching for the cocktails and drinks that ae featured in this drama. Speaking of which, I was rewatching "Kami no Shizuku" with Kamenashi Kazuya, because it's focusing on wine. Sigh...

Gaikoukan Kuroda Kousaku -- I started watching this for Oda Yuji, but then who do I see? Nissy! ^.^ It was like icing on a cake. I enjoyed Nissy's performance in here, and rushed off to rewatch him in "Ghost Friends" with Fukuda Saki.

Saijou no Meii -- When I first read that Saito Takumi was the confirmed lead, I honestly was curious to see his performance. I only saw him in Ryu no Gotoku (I think?) and in a couple of others, but never him in this kind of drama. Too bad that he didn't end up with the girl I liked, though.

ARCANA -- People have stopped putting up torrents for this. T^T I really liked Araki's portrayal of a pure-hearted policeman/detective in this one. I would like to see the conclusion, please, as I'm still stuck on episode 5.

Deka Wanko -- Eh. I don't say that this was the best policeman drama that I've seen, but it was cute. To a point.

OK, onto music.

Here's a list? (With comments inserted here and there)

Monday Kiz -- Scattered
Monday Kiz -- Kajima/Don't Go
DBSK/TVXQ -- Athena (O.O I am so obsessed. These boys are TALENTED)
Lee Seung Gi -- I Was Crazy (My Girlfriend is a Nine-Tailed Fox OST; and I only listen to this when I actually think I'm going to go crazy in a...hyperish kind of way)
Kim Jong Wook -- Only You
SHINee -- Hello (This is a cute song, you know?)
Choshinsung -- The Days I've Missed You (This I really like. I don't know why. Don't ask me why.)
2AM -- You Wouldn't Answer My Calls
2AM -- Like Crazy (This and "You Wouldn't Answer My Calls" are perfect for rainy days. They're so pretty~)
Fly to the Sky -- Gravity (An old song, but it's so pretty)
2PM -- Tired of Waiting
2PM -- What's Your Celebration?
Super Junior -- No Other (I really like this song. I saw a performance where Yesung and Eunhyuk were holding hands. Cute~)
Yesung -- It Has to be You (Cinderella Sister OST; This guy can sing. @.@)
F.T. Island -- Missing You
December -- 잔소리
December -- 사랑아 사랑아 (This duo can really sing. I can never get tired of this duo.)

Arashi -- Hatenai Sora (sooo pretty...)
Arashi -- Love Rainbow
Arashi -- Lotus
Arashi -- Everything
Arashi -- Ashita no Kioku (OK, so everyone one of Arashi's latest singles I've been a fan of. This group has come a long way)
KAT-TUN -- One Drop (I'll always be a fan of this song. Not really a fan of the music video, though. Discoordinated choreography.)
Yuzu -- Aitai (I cried when hearing this song)
Yuzu -- Sakurae (So pretty...)
Yuzu -- Ichigo (This is a ridiculous song, but fun)
Kazusa -- Stand Up for Love (Tobo Bengoshi OST)
AZU (feat. SEAMO) -- Jikan wo Tomare (I like this song. It's cute)
Hoshimura Mai -- Hikari (I love this song. Period.)
Matsushita Yuya -- Paradise (Quartet OST. My "It" song for the moment)
WEAVER -- Hard to Say I Love You
ON/OFF -- Futatsu no Kodou to Akai Tsumi (I don't think I can ever get sick of this song)
Pigstar -- Kimi=Hana
FictionJunction -- Parallel Hearts (Pandora Hearts OST)
CocoOtoko -- Let me free ~強引なほど、、、

I'm using music as my inspiration to do even the littlest of tasks. Standing in silence is NOT going to get me anywhere, I'm starting to see...

But...:3 The release of Takumi-kun Series: Pure is in May! Whee! It's faster than "Bibou no Detail," I think, since the release date for BnD was June 16 last year. I can't wait~

[Drabble] False Impressions & Small Talk

So...It's been a looooooong time I've posted...I'm sorry! ^.^;;

The home stretch to graduation is not as...easy...as I hoped for. O.O Papers, papers, worrying about graduation, worrying about what I am going to do after graduation, and agonizing on what I am going to do with my LIFE in general were the basic components of my sad excuse of a life--still is, by the way. And the fact that I had a massive attack of Writer's Block pretty much sums up my fanfiction writing life in a nutshell.

I was....NOT happy with some of the drabbles I've written over the past few weeks, so into the Recycling Bin they go...until I got this idea.

I was recommended a very good Death Note fic (Mello/Matt, in that order) called "Zak" over at fanfiction.net, and its sequel, "Take Two." Now, I'm normally not a fan of mpgreg, but if well-written, I enjoy reading them. And the authoress of "Zak" and "Take Two" writes mpreg really well. REALLY WELL. I'm embarrassed to read my writing after reading such good writers. U.U (Good writers, you know who you area.)

Well, the Takumi-kun Series is a very realistic BL series (no elements of fantasy or whatnot), so I decided to play with the mpreg idea. Take note: play with the idea. This is NOT a mpreg fic.

Takumi’s displaying symptoms, and Gii’s diagnosis isn’t helping.Collapse ) Oh, so very, very short. But I like it.

A friend of mine wanted an actual mpreg fic after reading this. What do you think? (And yes, she also went googly-eyed when she read the phrase "their bed.")

(Does anyone know when Pure is going to come out on DVD???? I waaaaant.)

I've been buying a lot of stuff from Japan. (All Mao-kun and Dai-san's stuff..... U.U) Now I don't have many to buy anything, but I guess that it's worth it.

I have also been watching Aiba's "Bartender" drama!!!!!!! XD Let's just say it's my addiction of the month. And listening to Arashi music nonstop. But I'm also really sad. Episodes of "Saijou no Meii" and "Arcana" have stopped....O.O Where do I watch?!

Now, off to write another fluffy fic for the Takumi-kun Series. Maybe it'll be Akaike-centric this time~

Dec. 25th, 2010

[Thoughts] My own little pity party.... T^T

So, I finally got my hands on the second part of the Takumi-kun Series of "Pure." OK, I was a little disappointed that it wasn't in Korean (I'm not expecting any English versions past the second volume), but I was ecstatic that my friend scanned it and sent it over to me.

And I go flipping through the pages, and make a monumental discovery.

I don't understand almost half of what I'm reading. No, scratch that. Maybe more than half.

Just HOW did this happen? (Wait,  I know. I've been hearing Japanese lately, not using it to speak and read/write. And when I mean lately, did I mention that it's been nearly a year?)

I just want to cry. T^T

What a way to greet Christmas.
